Community Guidelines

EntertainMe! is a place for people who love movies, TV, books, games, music, and experiences to share what they enjoy and learn from each other. These guidelines describe what we expect from everyone who participates.

What's Welcome

• Honest reviews of titles, events, and experiences you've actually engaged with
• Thoughtful recommendations to friends with short notes explaining why
• Respectful disagreement when people have different taste
• Constructive feedback, spoilers-marked when appropriate
• Curiosity, humor, and genuine enthusiasm for the things you love

What's Not Allowed

The following are prohibited anywhere in the app (reviews, notes, recommendations, profile content, anywhere):

Harassment and Targeted Attacks

• Personal attacks, insults, or intimidation directed at other users
• Coordinated harassment or pile-ons
• Threats of violence, self-harm, or harm to others
• Stalking, doxxing, or sharing anyone's personal information without consent

Hate Speech and Discrimination

• Slurs or dehumanizing language targeting any group based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability, or other protected characteristics
• Content that promotes hate groups, extremist ideologies, or incites violence

Sexual Content Involving Minors

• Any sexual or suggestive content involving anyone under 18 is forbidden without exception and will be reported to authorities as required by law

Spam, Scams, and Impersonation

• Unsolicited promotional content, affiliate links, or commercial advertising
• Phishing attempts, scams, or links to malicious sites
• Impersonating another person, brand, or public figure
• Automated content or bot-driven posting

Illegal Content

• Content that violates laws in the jurisdictions we operate in
• Piracy links, stolen content, or instructions for illegal activity

A Note on Language

Reviews and recommendations can use strong language. We don't filter general profanity. If a movie was terrible and you want to say it was terrible in colorful terms, that's fine. What's not fine is directing that language at other users, or using it as a vehicle for hate or harassment.

How to Report

If you see content that violates these guidelines, report it so our team can review it:

• On any review or received recommendation, click the flag icon.
• Select a reason (harassment, spam, inappropriate content, impersonation, or other).
• Optionally add a short note explaining what's wrong.
• We review reports promptly. You'll typically hear back if we need more detail, but we may not notify you of the outcome.

Hiding Content You Don't Want to See

If a specific user's reviews aren't for you but don't violate the guidelines, you can hide them from your view without reporting. Click the eye-slash icon on any review and confirm. You can manage the full list and unhide any time from Settings > Account Data > Hidden Reviewers. This is completely separate from friend blocking.

Consequences

When content violates these guidelines, we may:

• Remove the offending content
• Warn the user with guidance on what's expected going forward
• Restrict the user's ability to post, comment, or send recommendations
• Suspend or permanently close the account

We weigh severity, context, and history when deciding. Severe violations (threats, hate speech, sexual content involving minors) result in immediate account action and, where required, referral to law enforcement.

Appeals

If you believe an action on your account or content was a mistake, email info@entertainme.fun with your user ID and the details. We review every appeal.
