• Voice diary recordings are processed into text transcriptions; we store the transcribed text, not the original audio
• Photos taken with your camera for collection scanning or place visit documentation

Device and Technical Data

• Device tokens for mobile app authentication and push notification delivery

Third-Party Authentication Data

• If you sign in with Google or Facebook, we receive your name, email address, and a provider-specific identifier. We do not access your contacts, posts, or any other data from these providers.

• Tracking your entertainment history and preferences across all content types
• Providing personalized recommendations and streaming availability information
• Delivering push notifications about upcoming releases, events, and reminders you have configured

3. Push Notifications

Our mobile app periodically checks for upcoming notifications (such as release reminders and event alerts) in the background. These are local notifications generated on your device based on your preferences. We do not use third-party push notification services. You can disable notifications at any time through your device settings or within the app.

4. Third-Party Services

Our service integrates with the following third parties:

• The Movie Database (TMDB): provides movie, TV show, and person metadata including titles, descriptions, cast information, and poster images. We do not share your personal data with TMDB.
• Google and Facebook: used solely for optional account authentication (OAuth sign-in). We only receive basic profile information (name and email) and do not post to or access data from your social media accounts.
• SMS Verification Provider: if you choose phone-based login, your phone number is sent to our SMS provider solely to deliver a one-time verification code. Your number is not stored by the provider beyond delivery.

5. Data Sharing and Selling

We do not share, sell, rent, or trade any of your personal information with third parties for marketing, advertising, or any other commercial purpose. Your entertainment history, ratings, reviews, and preferences remain private to your account unless you explicitly choose to share them with friends through the app's social features.

6. Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information, including:

• Passwords are hashed using Argon2ID, an industry-leading algorithm
• All data transmitted between your device and our servers is encrypted via HTTPS
• Device tokens are stored securely in your device's native keychain
• Account lockout after repeated failed login attempts
• Authentication events are logged for security monitoring

7. Your Rights and Choices

You have the right to:

• Access and update your personal information at any time through your profile settings
• Export all of your data in standard formats (CSV, JSON, or ZIP) from the Account Data section of your profile
• Delete individual records such as ratings, reviews, viewing history entries, or place visits
• Control what activities are visible to friends or the public through privacy and sharing settings
• Request complete deletion of your account and all associated data (see Data Deletion)
• Revoke camera, microphone, location, or photo library permissions through your device settings
• Disable push notifications through your device settings or within the app
• Unlink Google or Facebook accounts from your profile settings

8. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you request account deletion, all your personal data will be permanently removed from our systems within 30 days. You can delete your account directly within the app through Profile > Account Data > Delete, or by contacting us at the address below.

9. Children's Privacy

Our service is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.
